All Pernod Ricard Nordic activities on the market shall be conducted with care for our consumers. It shall be legal, decent, honest and truthful and conform to accepted principles of fair competition and good business practice. It shall be prepared with a due sense of social responsibility and be based on principles of fairness and good faith and not in any circumstances be unethical or otherwise impugn human dignity and integrity.
Responsible Marketing of Alcohol
All Pernod Ricard Nordic marketing activities should be executed according to rules established in the Pernod Ricard Code for Commercial Communications. The code is adapted from the European Forum for Responsible Drinking (EFRD) Common Standards and include Pernod Ricard specific elements, for example regulations on responsible drinking messages on advertisements, implementation of a pictogram informing pregnant women of the dangers of alcohol on bottles and bans on obscenity and nudity in advertising.
Internal control of marketing activities
Pernod Ricard has established an Internal Control Committee for advertising, responsible for regulation of the Group’s 15 strategic brands that are subject to thorough and systematic review and for the 30 local brands that are reviewed frequently. On a line with this, Pernod Ricard Nordic has established the Nordic Internal Control Panel for advertising (NICP), created to systematically review and advise on marketing campaigns for all Pernod Ricard Nordic local brands.
Business Ethics
All Pernod Ricard Nordic relations and activities must be in line with national and local legislation and industry codes. All contacts with customers, consumers or business partners shall be characterized by professionalism, respect and good ethics and maintained as strict business relationships to avoid any appearance of impropriety. All activities must also be acceptable according to the recipient’s own policies or requirements. In our efforts to increase our market share and earn the loyalty of customers and consumers, we will never waiver on ethics and responsibility. Pernod Ricard Nordic adheres to the anti-trust and competition laws for each market in which we operate.
