How we evaluate suppliers
We are dedicated to working in partnership with our suppliers. It is our firm belief that there is more to procurement than just cost. We want to offer our selected suppliers long-term business opportunities with Pernod Ricard Nordic and ensure the best Total Cost of Ownership for the products we buy.
Leading Corporate Citizenship is key to Pernod Ricard Nordic. Therefore it is essential for us to have the best suppliers from an environmental and human rights perspective.
Pernod Ricard Nordic evaluates suppliers from a performance and a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) perspective. CSR is an umbrella term for issues relating to the environment, human rights and business ethics. The CSR supplier evaluation is mandatory and is part of our supplier evaluation process.
Focus areas covered by the CSR are:
• Human rights
• Principles and rights at work
• The rights of children
• Environmental impact
• Health and safety
• CR management
• Ecolabelling
Key Performance Indicators evaluated are:
• Total Cost development
• Delivery performance
• Lead times
• Inventory turnover
• Quality
Supplier evaluation is part of supplier selection as well as the continuous supplier development process. Therefore questions and follow-up of CSR and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requirements are part of all steps of the process.
